Names of Scythian-related Tribes/Groups

This list is intended to complement the set of personal names lists and to provide possibilities for any SCAdian seeking to create a persona whose byname reflects membership in/association with a particular cultural group.

Some of the following names appear in both Herodotus and Abaev. For these, I have not provided an annotation symbol. Herodotus does not discuss Sarmatians, but he does mention many groups that resided near the Scythians but were not counted among them. As a result, I have left them off this list unless otherwise noted.

"Scythian" Tribes/Groups
